Calculator Inputs

Every calculator on PhysicsTool works inside your browser. The numbers and units you enter are processed on your own device, and they are not sent to the server, saved in a database or linked to you.

You do not need an account to use any calculator. PhysicsTool has no sign-up, no login for visitors and no user profiles.

Contact Form and Email

When you send the contact form, you give your name, your email address, a subject, an optional calculator name and your message. The form delivers these to my inbox by email, and I use them only to reply and to fix what you reported.

Your details are not sold, rented, shared with third parties or added to a mailing list. Messages are kept for as long as they are needed to resolve the issue, and you can ask me to delete yours at any time.

Server Logs and Hosting

PhysicsTool is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web servers, the hosting system records each request in a log, including the IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time.

These logs are used to keep the site secure, to block abusive traffic and to find technical faults. They are not used to build a profile of any visitor.

Cookies, Ads and Analytics

PhysicsTool does not show advertising and does not run analytics or tracking scripts. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies in your browser, and the calculators work with cookies turned off.

If advertising or analytics is ever added, this policy will be updated first to name the service, the data it collects and how to opt out.

Links to Other Websites

Calculator explanations link to outside sources such as NIST, BIPM, NASA and textbook publishers. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover what they collect once you follow a link.

Children

PhysicsTool is a general study and reference website and is open to students. It does not ask for personal information to use a calculator, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the contact form.

If you believe a child has sent personal information through the form, contact me and the message will be deleted.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Use every calculator without giving any personal information.
  • Ask for a copy of any message you sent through the contact form or by email.
  • Ask for your message and contact details to be corrected or deleted.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in Europe or state privacy laws in the United States may give you further rights over your personal data. To use any of them, write to the address below and your request will be answered.

Changes to This Policy

This policy is updated when the site starts or stops using a service that handles visitor data. The “Last updated” date at the top changes with every revision, so you can see when the current version took effect.
