Disclaimer

This Disclaimer explains what the calculators on PhysicsTool (physicstool.com) are meant for and where their limits are. By using the site, you accept the terms set out below.

For Study and Estimation

PhysicsTool is an educational website. Its calculators and explanations are meant for learning physics, checking coursework, teaching, and making first estimates before detailed work begins.

Nothing on the site is a finished design, a certified result or an instruction to act. A number from a calculator is a starting point for your own judgment, not a replacement for it.

Not Professional Advice

The content on PhysicsTool is not engineering, electrical, structural, medical, legal or safety advice. Using a calculator does not create a professional relationship between you and PhysicsTool or its author, Manoj Meena.

Decisions that affect safety, health, property or legal compliance need a qualified and licensed professional. They also need the code, standard or regulation that applies in your location, which a general calculator cannot know.

Limits of the Calculators

Every calculator uses a simplified physical model. Typical assumptions include no air resistance, no friction, ideal gases, point masses, thin lenses and uniform materials, and each calculator states the ones it relies on.

Real systems have losses, tolerances and conditions that these models leave out, so a measured value can differ from a calculated one. Results also depend entirely on the values and units you enter, and a wrong input gives a wrong answer.

No Warranty

Each formula and constant is taken from a published source and tested as described in the Editorial Policy. Even so, the site is provided “as is”, and errors in a formula, a constant, the code or an explanation remain possible.

PhysicsTool makes no warranty, express or implied, that any result is complete, correct or fit for a particular purpose. Check any result that matters against an independent source before you rely on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PhysicsTool and Manoj Meena are not liable for any loss, damage or injury that results from using the site or relying on its calculators or content. That includes direct, indirect and consequential losses.

You use the calculators at your own risk, and you are responsible for how you apply any result.

Links to Other Websites

Calculator explanations link to outside sources such as NIST, BIPM, NASA and textbook publishers. PhysicsTool does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their availability.

Errors and Corrections

If you find a result or statement you believe is wrong, report it through the Corrections page. Each report is checked against the source, and confirmed errors are fixed and recorded in the public log.

Changes and Contact

This Disclaimer may be revised as the site grows, and the “Last updated” date above changes with each revision. Questions about it can be sent to Manoj Meena through the contact page.
